Movies

My first love has always been film. I love seeing the process from pre-production to the credits and could talk to you about the production of 1917 for hours. I switched my major halfway through college from Intelligence Analysis to Media Arts & Design because I’d rather make people look like a spy than try to be one myself. My professor said, “If you think this is anything like the movies, I’d think of a plan B” so here we are.

Favorite movies include: The Batman, Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol, and A Quiet Place II

Favorite TV: Ted Lasso, Peaky Blinders, and SNL

Food!

Post college I focused on learning how to actually cook for myself, as baking was already a hobby of mine. I even started an Instagram page (@breeisbaked) to document it all. A Sunday ritual surfaced during COVID where I’d get Starbucks and watch the replay of SNL that morning, still going strong in 2023.

Music (Live to be exact)

A concert is where I feel most myself. For that time, I can truly escape the stresses of every day. Other times I use music to transport myself back to a certain season of life. My favorite band is Twenty One Pilots, so much that I’ve seen them 8 times, one of them being in London. They reignited my passion for art and what it can do for a community. Lead singer Tyler Joseph, a huge inspiration to me (and my singular tattoo) liked my drawing on Instagram.
